Introduction

Ever wonder about the events and climate cf the period following the American Revolution ?

Goals

In this lesson, we will: 1. See what was happening in the colonies immediately following the Revolution. 2. Listen to the opinions of the colonists about how the new government should be set up. 3. Look at the Federalist Papers and see what techniques the authors used to convince the citizens that a strong central government was needed.

Directions

After reading these Primary documents, write a letter to the editor of the newspaper supporting one of the points made by the Federalist Papers.
